2013 - Suus wasn't really my thing, so I give the edge to the drums of Identitet. 2012 - Woki mit deim Popo! Woki mit deim uh uh! Guilty pleasure of 2012! 2012 - Mid-table songs, both of them, but Babayeva gets on top. 2012 - Don't like them. If I really have to choose, I'll pick We are the heroes. 2012 - As above. It's really a matter of which one I dislike less, and it's almost a tie. 2013 - Didn't like 2012. Kind of like 2013. 2013 - As Azerbaijan, both mid-table songs, with an edge for Mizerja. 2012 - Ivi Adamou all the way! 2013 - Again: which one do I dislike less? It's almost a tie, with an edge for this year's song. 2013 - Both great songs! I liked Soluna, and her song was really underrated last year. But Teardrops is even better. 2013 - Oh oh! Oh oh oh Ding Dong! Guilty pleasure of 2013! 
2012 - I loved Anggun's song, but the staging was dreadful! She was totally drowned in the flying men's performance. France 2012 should be written on Eurovision textbooks as how NOT to stage your entry. On the other hand, I like L'Enfer et moi, but Amandine Bourgeois just doesn't seem to fit in. So... edge to 2012! 2013 - ANYTHING is better than Georgia 2012! SOOC 2013 - And we are again at the mid-table entries. Well, more like top-middle, really. Anyway, it's Glorious. 2013 - Liked Aphrodisiac very much, but somehow I'm prone to give the edge to Koza Mostra, but I would have liked even better Thomai Apergi. 
2013 - Easy choice: Kedvesem is really a sweet, soothing song. One of my favourites of this year. Nice job, Hungary! 
2012 - Another country whose songs don't get to me. 2012 was better, though. 2013 - 2013 without doubt! Don't like it, but I'm just glad the Jedwards are gone! 2012 - I loved Time so much! So quirky and original! Another shamefully underrated song of 2012. Much better than the bland song they are sending this year. 2012 - Nina with all my heart!

Last year, Italy offered Europe its most precious jewel. 2013 - Here we go, although Anmary was quite a character. 2013 - Mid-table songs, but with a clear edge for Something. 2012 - Nothing compares the prowess of Kaliopi and her trademarked scream! One of the few queens of ESC2012. 2013 - Tomorrow is slightly catchier, but we're still in the mid-table zone. 2013 - This trumpet makes me hate you! Pasha Parfeny, just go away... 
2013 - ...and take Rambo Amedeus with you! 2013 - Didn't like much Johanna Frank, her song and her strange hat. Birds on the other hand, is such a masterpiece! I'm not sure how Anouk will stage it, but the song alone really deserves the top 3! My second best favourite of the year. 2013 - Speaking of favourites! Norway has really gone from zero to hero! From one of the worst entries of 2012 to the absolutely best entry of 2013! The best song, with the best singer and the best staging. VINNEREN! 
2012 - Mandinga were much better than this falsetto-singing Hugh Jackman-lookalike they've sent this year. 2012 - Dina Garipova could do well, but I give the edge to the funny Babushki of 2012. 2013 - Like them both, but I really want Valentina to fare better than last year, so I want to have faith in Crisalide. 2013 - Don't like them! I dislike them equally and it's actually a tie. I just give the edge to this year's song because of Sara Jovanovic's hotness, but it's really undeserved. 2012 - Again, mid-table songs. I find Verjamem slightly better, but it's almost a tie. 2012 - Like both of them, but I think it will be difficult for ESDM to reach the heights of Pastora. 2012 - I never catched the Euphoria fever like the rest of Europe did, but sure as hell it was better than You. 2013 - I keep the grudge on the swiss for not picking up Melissa and her The point of no return. However, You and me is way better than Unbreakable. 2013 - Upper-half songs, both of them. I'm not sure which one to pick. Gravity sounds better, but I also fancy the trumpets of Be my guest. Mmmhhhh....

- 2012 - I hated Suus at first, but I've grown to like it now, and this year's nothing spectacular. - 2012 - Not the biggest fan of Woki Mit Deim Popo, but I don't mind it, and I think Shine's a bit overrated. - 2013 - Hold Me is okay, I guess. Didn't see anything memorable in last year's. - 2013 - I liked both, but Solayoh stands out for me as one of the better up-beat tunes of this year. - 2013 - I disliked both entries, but at least Love Kills has a catchy pop melody under the bad singing; I can't really remember anything about 2012's entry. - 2013 - Samo Shampioni, if only for the drum solo. - 2013 - Mižerja by far. I don't hold a lot of hope for it doing well, though - I loved Cyprus 2011, which was similar, and that bombed in the votes. - 2012 - A grudging win to La La Love - I thought it was a bit overly poppish and not brilliantly performed, but at it least stands out more than An Me Thimasai. I Might change my mind later though. - 2012 - I liked Kuula and I don't like this year's. Nothing more to say, really. - 2013 - I enjoyed Should've Known Better, but this is still a big win by Only Teardrops, which is my favourite for this year. - 2012 - Anything that's not Marry Me. - 2012 - They seem similar to me, but You And I wins it by virtue of having a few original elements. - 2013 - I'm A Joker made me cringe, and Waterfall is at least pleasant. Easy decision for me. - 2012 - Technically I prefer the sound of Glorious, but it reeks of plagiarism to me so I'll go for last year's average-to-decent entry. - 2013 - I didn't hate Aphrodisiac, but I'm always up for an energetic, upbeat song with cultural hints - this year wins out. - 2012 - Not really bothered either way, but from what I've seen this year's contender are a bit weak in the live performances so I'll go for 2012. - 2012 - I quite like this year's entry, but Never Forget was my equal favourite from last year, so it's kind of a no-contest here. - 2012 - Neither has a whole lot of substance to it as a song, but at least Waterfall had an energetic stage performance that I don't think Only Love Survives will be able to match. - 2013 - I didn't have much of a reaction to either, but Rak Bishvilo is nicely sung so I'll go for that. - 2012 - They're both middle-of-the-road pop songs in my mind, so it's hard to choose, but L'Amore È Femmina sticks in my mind more. - 2012 - Beautiful Song by a small margin for the better melody. - 2012 - I wasn't really impressed by either song, but Love Is Blind's good performance and staging gives this one to 2012. - tie - I quite like both of these entries, and they're so different that I don't think I can compare them... I was about to flip a coin, so I thought I'd just make it a tie anyway. - 2012 - Neither seems great or terrible, so the foot-shuffles win it for 2012. - 2013 - It pains me to vote against Lăutar, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but I just love the chorus of O Mie. - 2012 - I'd rather have a song that decides to be a joke entry than one that can't decide what it wants to be at all. - 2013 - I feel like I'm missing some deep metaphor, but the lyrics to Birds just seem silly... nevertheless, I couldn't find any redeeming features to 2012's entry, so this one goes to Anouk. - 2013 - One of my top five for this year - it's catchy, and the staging isn't too flashy. Simple enough to choose. - tie - It's the fun but substance-less Zaleilahagainst It's My Life, which is so unusual that I still can't sort out my own opinions on it. I think I need more time to choose here. - 2012 - I've got nothing against What If, but there are very few acts in this world that can follow dancing Russian grandmas and manage to stand out. - 2013 - How is this even the same singer? I still haven't decided yet whether I like Crisalide, but it gets my vote for not being last year's song. - 2012 - I loved last year's Nije Ljubav Stvar, which was apparently a very love-it-or-hate-it song. Ljubav Je Svuda on the other hand, is sort of just... there. - 2013 - Both average, but I find Straight Into Love to be a more enjoyable brand of average. - 2012 - They're both quite nice power ballads, but Quédate Conmigo seems to have a more powerful finish. - 2012 - I'd rate both Euphoria and You quite highly, but when the former is my equal-favourite in a strong year, the latter doesn't stand much of a chance. - 2013 - The two entries seem a little similar, but You And Me comes out on top with a slightly better chorus and better live performance. - 2013 - I enjoyed the cheesy Be My Guest, but Gravity tops it by a tiny bit in each category. - 2012 - I don't find it easy to choose between the UK's two 'quick, we're losing so wheel out the old celebrities' entries - neither one's bad, but nor are they amazing. Love Will Set You Free has a nice calming feel to it, though.
