But for now, it's time to unveil our 100th entry - all roads led to this one for us and we couldn't be prouder to finally add this utter Moisantian classic to our history.

This song was the debut track from this short-lived UK pop group that I idolised as a 12-13 year-old boy, and with its blend of dance, techno, pop and house sounds as well as those distinctive killer vocals by pocket powerhouse Kelly O'Keefe (she stood at just 4' 11" tall!), it instantly became my favourite ever pop song - a title that still stands to this day almost 30 years later! xlove

@doctormalisimo David mentioned that Eurobeat was THE sound of Moisantia, but for me, this track is everything that my ear craves from a song in its purest form - #thisismoisantia everyone! xheart

Eurovision NF mega-fans may recognise Deuce from their strong performance in "A Song For Europe '95" where they competed for the UK ticket to Eurovision with their follow-up single to this bop "I Need You", but their debut single will forever be their shining moment in my eyes. The fact it never reached the UK Top 10 is a travesty (although the Scots knew the score, gifting it a #7 position on the Official Scottish Singles Chart) but that also makes me adore it even more since it makes me feel like I found this true pop gem that passed by so many other people...

Wow, never in my wildest dream did I think such a special song to me could capture as many points in our anniversary edition - thank you so much for a healthy 13th place for Deuce, certainly wasn't unlucky to me xheart

And on to NSC 225 - I was convinced I was sending a specific song for weeks, but having seen another nation send it to WLSC and win the last edition with it, it felt somehow wrong to send it here, despite it being an utter tune. So I'm going for my back-up choice - and despite someone else registering it for the upcoming WLSC edition, I feel it's okay to take a punt on it here since we don't know yet just how well it could be received... Plus, ESC NF season is kicking off, and this seems the perfect time to bring back this legend to NSC...

The anxiety is very real typing this, but I am convinced that it's the correct decision so just wanted to pop a proper note down here for you all.

Moisantia's participation in the main NSC contests has come to an end. We won't be sending any further entries, and we hereby give up our place in NSC 228 to the next in line on the waiting list.

This decision has been a very, very long time in the making, so I don't want anyone thinking it has anything to do with the current drama around 227 results (although that has only served to affirm my feelings even more than before tbh). My life outside of this forum is night and day from what it was when I first joined the forum over 12 years ago, and even looking at when I rejoined NSC in the 150th edition, my work life and personal life are both requiring way more attention and time than I ever thought possible.

As a result, my precious time in the last few editions has felt poorly spent and decisions such as ranking the songs have had to be horribly rushed due to my lack of free time and general motivation. The NSC community of the 80s and 90s (NSC's heyday in my eyes xheart), in terms of the camaraderie and music shared, is no more - I no longer get the same level of enjoyment from taking part in the contest, and while I value the many friendships that I've made here over the years, I feel like this part of the forum no longer suits me. This is not a personal attack on anyone - I just no longer surround myself with any drama, negativity or stress whenever possible.

I wish everyone here the very best in the ongoing journey here - I hope that some of you hold some fond memories from Moisantia's history, and I'll still likely be around in other parts of the forum if anyone wants to chat.

Thanks everyone, and I hope you can all work out your way forward to a more harmonious future for NSC. Best of luck. Gazza out ;)

Absolutely gutted, but completely understandable decision, I really hope you still stick around in some form, or that we see you in WLSC at least!

Can't say I don't sympathize with what you've said. Nevertheless a big loss, very sad to see Moisantia leave. I hope you'll at least stick around in WLSC but either way thank you for everything Gary, you have absolutely been one of the main reasons I stuck around after I came back because you've reminded me how great and fun this community can be xrose xheart
