Is the showcase performance the official studio version? If so: the vocal production on this is FOUL...
Besides that it's a solid entry, and I actually think this will stand out in the dire second half of the first semi. ::6 points when the poll is up.
So it turned out to be Jako after all. Even though the song feels authentic to them and to Armenia it leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed, they could've done so much more. 6 points for now.
I really love this, the only thing missing for me is a stronger hook. :10: points for now, but the live performance could elevate it.
Btw I noticed that the pitch in the video on her artist youtube channel and the Eurovision channel are different, weird no?
Benjamin Ingrosso is one of the biggest artists in Sweden and has been since his win in Melodifestivalen, so don't see your point there but I agree about Tusse.
The juries surely have to see the merits in this as a complete package, the production is probably the most lush sounding of any song in years (& years lol). Fine, you never know what the televoters will vote for that particular night, but I can't see this placing any lower than 5th-10th with...
This is obviously the best pop song quality wise the UK has sent in like... forever? I love that this truly sounds like a Years & Years song and not something specially crafted for Eurovision. Production is stellar, can't wait to see it on the big stage, hopefully there's a strong concept there...
I have heard and seen the final songs in full now, I feel like the final will be an open race which we havn't seen since 2017. Exciting, but equally terrifying.
Medina's song is banging. Marcus & Martinus' show is really good, but I don't feel impressed enough by the song.
This is... magnificent. At first I was a bit frustrated that the beat wasn't hard enough for a techno song of this style, but the end compensated more than enough for that.
It's also fascinating that Joost succeeds with transmitting the sadness of the lyrics in the melody in some way... Kinda...
There was a dance break, but it looked quite weird on camera during yesterday's rehearsal. Hopfully they've rehearsed the camera angles more till tomorrow.
Saba has the best song by far. Sure, it's Melodifestivalen pop 101, but the melodies are great. Feels like real jury bait if it were to qualify from the semis (and win DGMP first of course).
Even if this edition of UMK is a lot weaker than last year's, I still feel like there's some solid options here. Vox Populi feels a bit too much of a predecessor of Cha Cha Cha even though they are quite different. Even though Paskana is a good midtempo pop song, it feels a bit safe as well and...
