They even mocked and ridiculed in a sarcastic way Ard TV for their decision for national final lineup. And that's honestly a bad thing. You must be good to people above you if you are depending on them, am sonst kriegst du immer aerger.

Could it be that radio has become in general a medium for older age groups and that NDR should more focus on streaming platforms if they want an act that appeals to younger listeners?

Or maybe they should have involed N-Joy, their youth channel. Couldn´t find any age statistics about this channel because the site I got the numbers from only lists channels that have commercial breaks, and with the exception of NDR 2 all channels of NDR are free of commercials.

I could find some statistics about other youth cannels though:

1Live (WDR)

14 – 19 years: 8,2 %
20 – 29 years: 23,2 %
30 – 39 years: 27,6 %
40 – 49 years: 17,6 %
50 – 59 years: 16,2 %
+ 60 years: 7,2 %

Fritz (rbb)

14 – 19 years: 6,6 %
20 – 29 years: 18,7 %
30 – 39 years: 30,8 %
40 – 49 years: 21,4 %
50 – 59 years: 13,4 %
+ 60 years: 9,1 %

You FM (hr)

14 – 19 years: 10,6 %
20 – 29 years: 28,4 %
30 – 39 years: 27,6 %
40 – 49 years: 20,2 %
50 – 59 years: 7,5%
+ 60 years: 5,7%

Maybe they should leave it to RBB. They know how to show off.

Patricia Schlesinger, head of Berlin public broadcaster RBB and chairwoman of ARD , resigned Sunday amid media reports she used public funds to bankroll a luxury lifestyle for herself and her ex-husband.

This was her renewed office. For 650,000 euros you get this:

Now NDR is in big trouble and not because of Eurovision.

It seems there will be a national final again in February:

The article says the final will have 8-12 songs and Peter Urban will be our commentator for the 25th time next year. This would be a good opportunity to hand it over to a new commentator if you ask me, but I´m not optimistic that we´ll get rid of him soon. :(

Esc kompakt claims to have it from "several independent sources", and usually they´re pretty well informed.
