Softengine have announced details of their debut album release.

Finland’s representatives in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest have announced that their debut album will be released October 17th, shipping worldwide. The young rock band’s album will consist of 11 songs and although unconfirmed, it seems likely it will include their Eurovision entry “Something Better” and latest single “Yellow House”.

The band has also announced that they are now a quartet – bass player Eero has left the band to concentrate on his career as a lighting technician – and that they will embark on a new tour after the album’s release.

Softengine achieved Finland’s best result since the country’s 2006 win this year, finishing 11th with “Something Better”.
