Tonight, Festival da Canção will finally conclude the national final season for 2023. Portugal’s flag bearer for the contest in Liverpool will be chosen by a combination of jury and televoting this evening.

But, we asked #YOU which of the thirteen acts should take home the Festival da Canção title this evening and join the fun in May. And here are your favourites…

Leading the pack is Mimicat‘s “Ai coração” with 33.7% of the vote, with over a third of our respondents rooting for the track. In second, the mysterious performance of Edmundo Inácio with “A festa” took 21.8%, showing a clear set of favourites in tonight’s show.

In third, 19.8% of the voters wanted to see a return to Eurovision for 2018 artist Cláudia Pascoal with “Nasci Maria”, followed by a distance by the mellow “Contraste mudo” by You Can’t Win, Charlie Brown on 5% of the vote.

The top five was are as follows;

  1. Mimicat – Ai coração (33.7%)
  2. Edmundo Inácio – A festa (21.8%)
  3. Cláudia Pascoal – Nasci Maria (19.8%)
  4. You Can’t Win, Charlie Brown – Contraste mudo (5%)
  5. Bárbara Tinoco – Goodnight (4%)

The other acts won less than 3% of the voting.
