The Big Five (Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the United Kingdom) as well as host country Switzerland took the stage today to complete the second round of rehearsals. We’ll be bringing live updates with exclusive rehearsal clips below!
Germany
Is this the glow-up of the season? That’s a question for fans to answer (with their votes!) but Abor and Tynna have undeniably upped the ante from their much more understated performance at Chefsache 2025. The performance starts with Tynna’s silhouette behind a curtain, which soon falls to reveal her standing atop a giant boombox (as one does), serving Charli XCX vibes. While Tynna has notably struggled with illness throughout the season, her vocals seem to have recovered in time for the contest next week. As for Abor, he traded in his traditional cello for an electric one outlined in LED lights. The question remains: will the cello survive the performance this time?
Switzerland
Speaking of understated, Switzerland balances out Germany’s maximalist approach with a simple close-up of Zoë Më in an elegant black dress singing “Voyage” with an appropriately contemplative expression. Is Switzerland keeping its cards close? We’ll find out soon enough!
The United Kingdom
Remember Monday have arrived, clad in pastels and with their giant chandelier in tow. Their vocals are as impressive as ever (did anyone expect otherwise?) and their staging seems to focus heavily on the energy shared between them. Will they manage to connect with the viewing audience as well? After last year’s televote, the only place for the United Kingdom to go is up…
Italy
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” This adage seemingly underpins Lucio Corsi’s staging for “Volevo essere un duro,” which from what we’ve seen is largely reminiscent of his Sanremo performance. Joined onstage by backing singer and guitarist Tommaso Ottomano, Lucio dons his familiar white face paint and prominent shoulder pads, playing his guitar in front of some rather large amplifiers. Wait – is giant equipment a trend this year?
Spain
“Esa diva soy yo” Melody proclaims from atop what appears to be a white marble platform after belting her lungs out, wearing a sequin onesie and flanked by dancers as sparks fall from above. What can we say? The diva doesn’t lie.
France
Last but not least, we have Louane with an innovative and dramatic use of sand, which rains down on the stage in a helix shape reminiscent of…an hour glass, perhaps? Louane keeps it simple otherwise, with a black lace dress and powerful vocals.
