Cyprus was announced today by the EBU as the first official returnee of 2015 and their selection looks set to be a real highlight of the upcoming national final season. Appearing to take a leaf out of Melodifestivalen’s book, the Cypriot broadcaster CyBC is planning to hold a series of live selection shows where a combination of televoting and jury will select the Cypriot finalists, with a second chance round taking place for the runner-up of each heat that didn’t make it through. It has not yet been confirmed what format the final will entail, but from what we can see it’s gonna be a blockbuster!
