Tonight Benidorm Fest, the Spanish national final, started with its first semifinal.
The initial plan was to have seven acts perform tonight, but as YOU all know Luna Ki withdrew, so the stage was graced with six amazing performances.
To make it more interesting, the voting was devided into three parts – the regular jury with 50%, the demoscopic jury with 25% and the televote with another 25%.
Varry Brava, Azucar Moreno, Blanca Paloma, Unique, Tanxugueiras and Chanel lined up one after another to battle it out who will get the ticket for Saturdays show and there only four of them.
Chanel won the hearts of both juries, while Tanxuguerias won the televote.
They will be joined by Blanca Paloma and Varry Brava who ended up third and fourth.
The show will continue tommorow with a set of seven acts of which four will be selected to pass through to the Grand final using same mechanism as tonight.
