On Friday evening, the second live show of the Albanian music gala, Festivali i Këngës has been aired. Festivali, or FiK for short is at its 58th edition and has been the medium through which Albanian broadcaster RTSH have been selecting their Eurovision entries. It is a lot more than just a national selection show, it is a end-of-year festival to celebrate Albanian culture and musical traditions.

At tonight’s semifinal, we saw the live performances of the 10 remaining semifinalists:

Robert Berisha –  “Ajo nuk është unë”
Wendy Mancaku – “Ende”
Kastro Zizo – “Asaj”
Tiri Gjoci – “Me gotën bosh”
Era Rusi – “Eje merre”
Olta Boka – “Botë per dy”
Valon Shehu – “Kutia e Pandorës”
Arilena Ara – “Shaj”
Eli Fara & Stresi – “Bohëme”
Gena – “Shqiponja e lirë”

The Albanian spectacle show, which was hosted by Alketa Vejsiu, was peppered with gags and interval performances, meandering along at a calm pace.  An hour after the live show had been conclude, RTSH announced the 12 qualifiers for Sunday’s Grand Final.
