While most people are still on their summer breaks and vacations, the new Eurovision season is already slowly starting. We have received our first couple of news regarding the National Final season, among which is that RTSH has announced the dates for Festivali i Këngës 63 submissions.
From September 27 to 29, RTSH will be accepting song submissions for Festivali i Këngës. Songs meeting the rules of the competition will be accepted via festivali63@rtsh.al. Participating artists in the festival and the dates for the festival itself will be revealed at a later date.
Festivali i Këngës as a national final has been used since Albania’s debut in the Eurovision Song Contest to select its participants in the Eurovision Song Contest. It is yet unknown whether the winner of FiK will represent Albania in the upcoming edition of Eurovision. The national broadcaster RTSH hasn’t made any formal announcement regarding the matter so far. However, it is expected that the winner of the 63rd edition of Festivali i Këngës will be asked to represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Besa represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “Titan”. She placed 14th out of 15 in Semi-Final 2.
We are excited to see who’s going to submit their song for FiK this year. Will we have any comeback Eurovision artists and FiK regulars, it is yet to be seen.
