The European Broadcasting Union issued a statement today stating that the official results of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 have been changed due to a mix up with Belarus’s aggregated jury points.

Belarus’s real jury had been dismissed after revealing who they voted for after the first semi final, so the EBU attempted to use an aggregated jury to make up their points, however this didn’t exactly go to plan as it’s now been revealed that their result was given upside down! This has made a few changes to the scoreboard, the most notable of which being North Macedonia now being the jury vote winner! Here are the new updated results and the positional changes:

Poor Michaela was really done over last week, wasn’t she? Last be announced as a qualifier. Put on screen when her poor televote was revealed and now denied her only douze point moment.

We also had neither the jury or televoting winner recognised in any way.
Norway’s achievement was completely unnoticed unless you paid enough attention and North Macedonia will never have that chance of sitting at the top at the end of jury voting. Sweden got the honour and the interview.
Is Tamara going to get her interview? Her apology?

Glad this has been corrected, but a really poor error on the EBUs part. What I find the most disappointing, and downright wrong, with the current system though is that we end up with neither the Juries favourite (North Macedonia) or the publics favourite (Norway) finishing in the top 5 of the results. Surely this means we ended up with a top 5 that nobody wanted?
