The first semi-final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest has come to a close, with eight artists qualifying for the final on Saturday February 8.

Tonight’s show took place at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’Qali, Malta under the theme #Together4Music. Twelve acts competed with the running order being decided before the live show.

The performing acts were:

  1. Mark Anthony Bartolo – β€œHideaway”
  2. Dre’ Curmi – β€œTe Amo”
  3. Raquela Dalli – β€œSilenced”
  4. Kristy Spiteri – β€œHeaven Sent”
  5. Matthew Cilia – β€œControl”
  6. Marie Claire – β€œWildflower”
  7. Justine Shorfid – β€œStill I Rise”
  8. JVF (Jessika, Victorio, Fabrizio) – β€œFesta (No Time for Siesta)”
  9. Adria Twins – β€œQalb Ma’ Qalb”
  10. Haley Azzopardi – β€œWhistleblower”
  11. Victoria Sciberras – β€œJuno
  12. Kurt Calleja – β€œAZIZ/A”

Tonight’s qualifiers were decided through a split voting process that used both jury and public televoting. After a long show and numerous intervals, it was revealed that the following eight acts would move on to the MESC final:

  • Raquela Dalli
  • Adria Twins
  • Justine Shorfid
  • Victoria Sciberras
  • Kurt Calleja
  • Mark Anthony Bartolo
  • Kristy Spiteri
  • JVF (Jessika, Victorio, Fabrizio)

The second semi-final of MESC 2025 will take place on Thursday February 6 at 21:00 CET, where the remaining eight finalists will be determined. The winner of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest will go on to represent Malta at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest hosted in Basel, Switzerland this coming May.
